The consumption of red meat and weight gain is often associated, this is because red meat is high in fat and calories when compared to fish and white meat. Red meat can also lead to bloating in some people, but not everyone.

Everyone can benefit from eating less red meat, especially if you're dieting for weight loss, but it does not mean that you can't have it all, we would just suggest eating it in moderation and opting for leaner cuts of red meat when possible.
