Is Hellmann's Fat-Free Vinaigrette Syn Free?

Hellmann's are well known for their mayonnaise, but also create some great low-calorie sauces and vinaigrettes for salads.

Hellmann's' fat-free vinaigrette in particular has 0.5 syns per serving making it a great low syn dressing to spice up salads without any guilt!

Down below we've put together a small guide that will go over Hellmann's syns, some great slimming world salad dressings to try out and a few low syn salad dressing alternatives.

Why Can Vinaigrette Be High In Syns?

It can be confusing to find salad vinaigrettes that are high in syns, some have up to 5 syns a tablespoon, this is mostly due to the oil content and sugar inside which increases the calories. For creamy salad dressings, syns come from ingredients such as milk, cheese and egg yolk.

You should also be careful about how much vinaigrette you are using in your salad and measure out via tablespoon, this is because it can be easy to go over your syns if you are just drizzling it on.
