The best way to save syns but still enjoy an amazing tasting chilli is by simply making your own at home, our recipe below serves six and is most importantly syn free!
Ingredients
500g of lean beef mince.
One onion, red pepper, carrot and three garlic cloves diced.
Two chillis chopped.
One can of kidney beans.
Three cups of chopped tomatoes.
One can of tomato paste.
Three cups of beef stock.
Two teaspoons of cumin and paprika.
Pinch of chilli powder.
Pinch of oregano.
One spoon of balsamic vinegar.
Method
To begin, start by frying off your mince, garlic and onion until they become brown then add in the carrots plus your tomatoes, spices, red pepper, chilli and vinegar, bring to a boil with the stock.
Simmer, add in the kidney beans and allow the chilli to cook for around 45 minutes until thickened.
Serve with fat-free Greek yoghurt and some cheese.
