For vegetarians, we have a great quiche dish recipe for you to try at home below, this healthy crustless quiche can be had cold for a quick picnic lunch or as mini quiche bites.

The recipe is syn free and serves four.


  • Two red onions.
  • One and a half courgettes.
  • 95g of fat free cottage cheese.
  • Six eggs.
  • Low-calorie cooking spray.
  • Chilli.
  • Salt and pepper seasoning.


  1. Start the recipe by heating your oven to gas mark 4 then grate your courgettes in a bowl and squeeze to get rid of any excess liquid inside of them.
  2. Next, spray a round baking dish with the low calorie cooking spray and start frying off your onions, chilli and courgettes in a frying pan.
  3. After around 8 minutes, season well with salt/pepper and press into the bottom of your baking dish, spread the cottage cheese on top until the veggies are covered.
  4. In another bowl whisk the eggs, season and pour on top of the cottage cheese, put the wet quiche in the oven for 30 minutes, let it cool for around 15 minutes so it can become firm then cut into slices, the perfect quiche for picnics!
