Our Best Slimming World Friendly Strawberry Recipes
If you have an abundance of syn free fresh strawberries sitting in your fridge, you can find plenty of SW friendly syn recipes to use them up with.
We've listed three of our favourite syn friendly recipes below.
Strawberry Mousse
Ingredients
One strawberry Muller Light yoghurt.
12 strawberries.
One sachet of sugar-free jelly.
250g of fat free plain Greek yoghurt.
Method
To begin, start by mixing the jelly with boiling water as stated on the instructions and leave it to set.
Add the yoghurt in once set, mix, then blend around 6 strawberries to make flavouring and sauce and pour in to combine.
Spoon in the yoghurt stirring bit by bit until a thick consistency then refrigerates for at least two hours and garnish with the remainder of your strawberries!
Strawberry Oats
Ingredients
Porridge oats - 40g as your healthy extra B.
100g of fat-free plain yoghurt.
One egg.
35g of strawberries (fresh).
Two spoons of sweetener.
Pinch of baking powder.
Spray oil.
Method
Start by heating your oven to around 200 degrees then keep a spoon of your porridge oats and the sweetener aside for topping later.
Mix your yoghurt, baking powder, oats, sweetener and egg into a bowl and grease your dish with some low cal cooking spray.
Next, put your strawberries into the dish and top with your oats mixture, sprinkle the oats and sweetener on top which you set aside, this creates a lovely crunchy topping.
Bake for 30 minutes, cool down and enjoy!
Eton Mess
Ingredients
350g of strawberries chopped up neatly.
350g of fat free fromage frais.
Four meringue nests.
One spoon of sweetener.
300g of fat-free strawberry yoghurt.
Method
Take half of your strawberries and blend them until they become a sauce or puree, combine with the yoghurt and set it aside.
Now put the rest of the strawberries in a bowl and spoon in the fromage frais with the sweetener, now take your sauce from earlier and swirl it through to create an aesthetic pattern.
Crush the meringue nests and fold them through the mix, divide into 4 dishes then chill in the fridge and serve when desired.
