We've listed two recipes to try below, one is syn free while the vegan recipe has 1.5 syns a dumpling.

Potato Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 400g of potatoes.
  • Egg.
  • Pinch of salt and pepper.

Method

  1. Begin by boiling your potatoes for about 12 minutes then grating them into a bowl, add the egg and roll into bowls with some seasoning.
  2. Add to your stew until they turn golden brown or for around 20 minutes total.

Vegan Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200g of red lentils.
  • Pinch of salt, black pepper and oregano.
  • Four spoons of flour.
  • 500ml of water or chicken stock.
  • 0.5 teaspoon of baking powder.

Method

  1. We start by cooking our red lentils for around 20 minutes total in a pan until all the liquid has been absorbed then move to a bowl.
  2. Add all your spices to the lentils then mix and preheat the oven to gas mark 5 in the meantime.
  3. Combine your flour and baking powder into the mixture, roll into balls (around 12) then place on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Use low cal cooking spray to spray them then bake for 20 minutes or until firm and golden.
