Everyone loves a scone in the afternoon with a cup of tea, but since these scones are not free food in the slimming world, you need to know their syn values before eating them for you to still get the best results on your weight loss journey.
Morrison's fruit scones have around 12 syns in per scone, making them a very high syn treat to have which should only be eaten within moderation as a treat.
We've put together a short guide below which will take you through why Morrison's fruit scones are so high in syns, some of the other syn values of their scones and some low syn alternatives from other brands. We've also included a slimming world scone recipe below if you want to save more syns.
Why Are Morrison's Fruit Scones High In Syns?
Morrison's fruit scones are high in syns due to their high-fat content from the butter and flour, the fruit inside also contributes to a lot of sugar which increases their calorie content, and therefore their syns too.
At nearly 12-13 syns per scone, you need to be careful about how many scones you are eating daily as they consume most of your daily syn allowance.
