How Many Syns in Lotus Biscoff Biscuit?
By Jenny Updated
Lotus Biscoff biscuits are those little caramelised cinnamon-spiced wafers that often arrive perched on the saucer of a cappuccino. Originally baked in Belgium since 1932, they have built a cult following thanks to their distinctive deep-caramel flavour, crisp snap and instantly recognisable red packaging. For Slimming World members, they sit firmly in the treats column of your day, so understanding the syn cost matters before you reach for a second one with your afternoon brew.
A single Biscoff biscuit weighs roughly 8g and works out at around 2 syns, while a pair will set you back about 4 syns from your daily allowance. That places them on the lighter end of the biscuit spectrum compared with chocolate digestives or shortbread fingers, but they are deceptively small and very moreish, which is exactly where members can come unstuck. The thin shape encourages crunching through three or four without really registering, and suddenly half your syns for the day have vanished alongside one cup of coffee.
The trick is to treat them as a deliberate pause rather than absent-minded grazing. Pour your drink, plate up one or two biscuits, put the packet back in the cupboard and actually sit down. Many members find the individually wrapped versions sold in cafés or in caddy packs more useful than the long sleeves, because the wrapper itself becomes a natural stop sign.
It is also worth flagging that Biscoff biscuits and Biscoff spread are very different beasts in syn terms — the spread carries its own separate entry and is considerably more calorie-dense per gram. If you adore the flavour but want a lower-syn fix, crumbling half a biscuit over fat-free yogurt with sliced banana gives you the caramel hit at a fraction of the cost, stretching one small biscuit into a genuinely satisfying pudding.
