Müller Light

on Slimming World

If there is one product that feels almost synonymous with Slimming World, it is Müller Light. The fat-free yogurt range has been a Free Food staple for years, and for good reason — a full 175g pot counts as zero syns, which means you can enjoy one every single day without touching your syn allowance. The vanilla flavour in particular has become something of a rite of passage for anyone starting on plan. It is creamy, filling, and sweet enough to feel like a treat when you are craving something after dinner.

The range covers a lovely variety of flavours — strawberry, cherry, peach and apricot, banana and custard, coconut, toffee — so you are unlikely to get bored. The Greek Style Lemon is a slightly smaller pot at 160g but also completely free.

The trap that catches people out, and it happens more often than you would think, is the Müller Corner range. Those little pots with the cereal or chocolate pieces in the fold-over flap look similar on the shelf, and people assume they must be free too. They are not. The cereal flap is what costs the syns — anywhere from six to eight syns per pot depending on the variety. Check the section below before you grab one. Müller Rice is in a similar position: it looks innocent but runs to around five syns per pot.

Stick to the Light range and you genuinely cannot go wrong. Keep a few in the fridge at all times and you will always have something to reach for when the sweet craving hits.

Frequently asked questions

Is Müller Light free on Slimming World?

Yes — the full Müller Light range is Free Food on Slimming World. That includes all the flavoured varieties: vanilla, strawberry, peach and apricot, banana and custard, cherry, coconut, toffee, and the Greek Style Lemon. You can eat them without using any syns or your Healthy Extra allowance. They are fat-free yogurts and the plan counts them as a Free Food, meaning you can enjoy one every day as part of a satisfying, filling diet.

Are Müller Corner yogurts free on Slimming World?

No, Müller Corner yogurts are not free. This is one of the most common mistakes people make on the plan. The Corner range looks similar to Müller Light on the shelf, but the little flap containing cereal, biscuit pieces, or chocolate adds enough sugar and fat to make them synned. Depending on the variety you are looking at, Müller Corner pots typically cost between six and eight syns each. Always check before you buy.

Is Müller Rice free on Slimming World?

No, Müller Rice is not free on Slimming World. The rice pudding-style pots — whether original, strawberry, or apple flavour — are around five to five and a half syns each per 180g pot. They can absolutely be enjoyed as a syn-counted treat, and they are not wildly high in syns, but they are not a free food like Müller Light yogurts. Make sure you are counting them if you decide to include them in your day.

Which Müller yogurts are free on Slimming World?

Only the Müller Light range is free on Slimming World. This covers all flavours in the standard 175g fat-free pots — vanilla, strawberry, peach and apricot, banana and custard, cherry, coconut, toffee — as well as the smaller 160g Greek Style Lemon pot. Müller Corner, Müller Rice, and Müller Vitality Kefir are all synned. If the pot has a cereal or topping flap, or is a rice or kefir product, it will cost you syns.

Is Müller Light good for weight loss?

Müller Light is a very useful food if you are trying to lose weight on Slimming World. Because the yogurts are fat-free and relatively low in calories — most pots sit between 90 and 100 calories — they make a satisfying sweet snack or dessert without derailing your plan. The protein content also helps with satiety, which matters when you are trying to stay full between meals. Many members find that having a pot after dinner stops them reaching for higher-syn snacks later in the evening.
