A great way to save the syns in your stewed steak is by making your own at home, this recipe below has just 0.5 syns a serving and serves up to 6 people in total!
Two carrots chopped.
Two cloves of garlic chopped.
800g of stewing steak.
Two spoons of tomato paste.
Spring of thyme.
600ml of beef stock.
Two spoons of cornstarch.
Drop of balsamic vinegar.
Begin cooking by spraying a large frying pan over medium heat then brown off the beef, after browning the beef take it out of the pan then add the onion, garlic and carrot into the pan to fry off.
Fry off for about 5 minutes, adding stock to stop the onion from sticking then pour in the rest of the stock plus other ingredients into the pan apart from thyme and tomato paste plus parsley.
Transfer to a larger dish for the oven then add the tomato and thyme.
Bring to a boil, simmer for two hours then serve!
To conclude, Princes stewed steak is high in syns, having 5.5 syns for just 100g, this is because of the high fat and sodium content in the gravy of the stewed beef, therefore should be eaten in moderation.
Stewed steak no matter the tin you buy is fairly high in syns, so to save syns we recommend making your stewed steak at home which only has 0.5 syns a serving with our recipe above!
